Life is a runaway train you can't wait to jump on

We are all moved into our new home in Oklahoma! Charlie loves her new bedroom and has really adapted well. It was hard to leave our first home, but it is all for the best. We still have a LOT to unpack! We are slowly digging our way through it all. Charlie is growing up so fast! She is almost six months old now, and is starting to roll around and learn new things. She LOVES playing with her feet :)

Charlie has also learned her first word! Of course it's Mama :) I was very happy about that.

Hopefully I will be better about blogging more often now.

What I've Learned...

So I have this amazing friend. Her name is Shannon. I know it is random to blog or post a note about one person, but she helped me see how blessed I am today. We (James and I) have had a rough year and it seems like it all started as soon as we started going to church again faithfully and trying to do right. Obviously it's a spiritual warfare and let me tell you...I have NEVER felt like giving up and running home to daddy so bad. Things are still hard, but we are learning and growing day by day.

Shannon is so amazing because today I asked her, "Just how much can one person handle? Seriously?" She told me to make a list of my blessings and things I'm grateful for. Halfway through the list I started crying because I realized that no matter what the Devil tries to do to us, we have each other and God will bless our efforts to do what is right.

Our hands are full, our minds and bodies are tired, our bank account is empty. But our hearts are full and we are learning that you can lose everything in an instant and to never take anything for granted. Not even air conditioning :) We've learned to give when all you want to do is take. We've learned to lend a helping hand when you need one yourself. We've learned to get the crying out and then move on. We've learned to love.
